Multiple meta-analyses and large observational datasets published during this period largely failed to confirm the cardiovascular signal from the 2013-2014 studies, and the weight of epidemiological evidence began to favor a neutral or potentially beneficial cardiovascular effect of testosterone therapy in appropriately selected men.
